The Club's upgrading of the track and other facilities.
We wish to thank the OXFORD SPORTS TRUST for their
support in supplying a very major portion of the funding of
Stage One of the upgrading of our club's facilities.
- Stage One has now been completed It included the
replacement of the Main Straight and the dispersal of the old
earthworks removed from the main straight in the area of the
pine tree stumps.
- On the Club Day held 14th February 2010 an independent
Noise Engineer carried out a series of tests over the full
days racing. The report was received by the club on 17th
May 2010. We can now proceed with an application for a
Certificate of Existing Use from the Whangarei District
Council to extend the track length.
- Stage two will be the extension of the track by about 120
metres which will commence after approval granted by the
WDC.
- When Stage two is completed there will be a new entrance that
will eventually access a new Pits Area at the top end of the
track which will be developed at a later date.
