                                      THE BLUE FLAG

Rule H1.8 in the KartSport New Zealand 2010 Manual reads
BLUE FLAG: Another competitor is about to lap you. You
must hold your course and must allow him/her to pass.

Holding your course means that you CAN NOT change your
position of travel along the track until the kart or karts lapping
you have passed. You DO NOT follow the racing line if that
means moving across the track width. Stay on the side of the
track you are travelling along and do not stop or slow down,
but ensure that you do not block the kart passing you.

NOVICE DRIVERS when in the centre of the track should stay
in the centre until the other kart or karts lapping you have
passed. If possible you should indicate with your hand
pointing towards the ground the side that you want the
passing kart to go. Be aware that the other kart(s) may pass
on the side you do not expect.

EXPERIENCED DRIVERS if in centre of the track, WHEN IT IS
SAFE TO DO SO, should move to the side of the track which
is away from the normal race line. If possible you should
indicate which side you want the passing kart to go.
